I've tried loosening the soil, added ⁣some compost, even poked holes thinking it’d drain better…but nope, it just pools there like a mini pond. It’s ⁢driving me nuts as my plants are definitely NOT happy with soggy roots. What am I missing here? Is it the soil mix, the ⁢bed design, something ‍else? Would love to hear what’s worked for you or if I’m doomed ⁢to puddle-ville forever.

Hey folks, I’ve ‍got raised beds ‌in my backyard and‍ I keep noticing the soil dries out way ⁢faster than the ground around them. I water them in the morning, and by noon it’s almost bone dry. The garden soil nearby stays pretty‌ moist though. Anyone else dealt with this? Is it something about the soil mix or just‍ exposure? Just ⁣wondering ‍if I’m watering wrong or if there’s some trick to keeping raised bed soil⁣ from disappearing so quickly. Thanks!
