What you need:
- Bucket
- Knife
- Bone meal
- Shovel
- Mulch
Soak the pot in a bucket of water until the soil is moist. |

Cut off the bottom the pot and make a perpendicular cut up the side. |

Dig a hole about twice as wide and 2" deeper than the pot. Backfill 2" of soil mixed with bone meal to the hole. |

Place the rose in the hole and make sure the bud union is about an inch above the soil line. Then remove the pot. |

Next, water the plant's root ball and the surrounding soil in the hole. Add some soil to the hole and a little more water. |

Add more soil and water thoroughly after all the soil is replaced. |
