What you need:
  • A pot 1-2 sizes larger than the plant's current pot
  • Cactus mix
  • Gravel or crock
Select a pot that is one to two sizes larger than the pot the plant is currently in.

Add an inch or two of gravel to the bottom of the pot to aid drainage. Next, fill the pot about half way up with soil.

Remove the succulent from its pot and tease out the roots.

Place the plant in its new pot. It is important to position the plant at the same level as it was in the previous pot. Fill the pot the rest of the way with soil.

Once the pot is filled, firm around the edges of the pot to remove any air pockets. Wait a week or so before watering the plant. This will give it a chance to settle.
