What you need:
- Assorted small cacti
- Gravel
- Ceramic container
- Cactus mix
- Grit for topdressing
First, fill the planter with 2-3" of gravel. This is essential to provide adequate drainage for your plants. |

Next, fill the container within an inch or two of the rim with commercial cactus soil mix. |

Arrange the plants in the container in a design that's appealing to you. |

Remove each plant from its pot and plant them according to your design. Scoop back a little soil and place the plant in the hole. |

Once the plants are in place, add more soil as necessary and firm the root balls into place. |

Add a layer of gravel and decorative rocks. Wait 3-4 days for the roots to settle before watering. |
