What you need:
- Plastic or clay pot
- Medium fir bark or sphagnum moss
Phalaenopsis are fast growing orchids that should be repotted about once a year when they are young, and less frequently as they get older. |

Choose a pot, either plastic or clay, that is large enough to accommodate about one year of growth. Usually one size larger than the current pot is sufficient. |

First soak the plant in warm water for 10 minutes to make the roots more pliable. Knock the plant out of the pot and remove old potting material and any dead or damaged roots. |

Place the plant in the middle of the pot and pour in potting material. Firm in the medium around the roots with your thumbs. Water the plant thoroughly to finish the job. |
