What you need:
  • Ceramic pot
  • White exterior latex paint
  • Empty yogurt cup
  • Clean rag
  • 1"-2" paint brush

Ceramic pots can be made to look old and weathered in a few easy steps.

Half fill a yogurt cup with white latex paint. Add water to the paint until you achieve a milky consistency.

Put on a pair of rubber gloves, then use a brush or rag to blot the mixture on the outside of the pot. Work in sections no larger than 6" square to avoid the paint drying to quickly.

Rub the paint into the ceramic using a circular motion until you achieve the desired effect.

Flip the pot over, and apply the mixture to the inside rim. Blot the mixture low enough on the rim so the soil covers the unpainted area when the pot is planted.
