What you need:
  • Scissors
When bromeliad leaves become damaged or dried out, they should be removed. It is sometime difficult to remove them because they are so fibrous.

The simplest way to remove a bromeliad leaf is to cut it lengthwise down the center to its base.

Pull the two halves of the leaves apart until they separate.

If only the tips of the leaves are damaged they can be trimmed with sharp scissors. Try to make your cuts match the natural shape of the leaf.
