Cleaning plants periodically prevents the spread of certain insects and makes the plants more attractive. An easy and effective way to clean a smaller plant is to first wrap a cloth tightly around the soil surface of the pot.

Next fill a container with warm, very mildly sudsy water. Turning the plant upside down, dunk and swish it in the soapy solution. Then rinse with warm clean water.

Gently wipe the plant dry with a soft cotton towel or paper towel.
