Rake the soil to a fine tilth. The finer the soil, the better foundation you will have for your seedlings. |

Sprinkle the seeds over the area to be seeded. If the seeds are very fine, mix them with sand to spread them more evenly. |

Rake the soil perpendicular to the first pass, or spread a fine layer of soil over the seeds. Water the area with as fine a spray as possible. In 7-10 days, your seedlings should be germinated. Once the seeds have their first true leaves, you will need to thin them out. Remove all but the most vigorous starts. |
